The Reviews are in!

Back in May, I had the privilege of helping a friend publish her memoir, More: A Memoir, by Monique Berish. Here we are, a few pandemic months later, and I wanted to bring you an update.

First, we want to thank all of you who purchased the book – either in hard-copy of Kindle versions. The response has been terrific, and for that, we are grateful.

Also, the reviews are FANTASTIC on both Amazon and Goodreads:

Goodreads has a review average of 4.82/5 rating. Nice! Here are a few quotes:

“I love stories where you fall in love with the characters and get to see a happy ending. This memoir is raw and oftentimes uncomfortable as you read about the author’s unbelievable childhood.”

“Monique Berish has written a hard, gritty, and fulfilling memoir on her first time out. Many authors dwell in the vivid colors of victimhood while telling a cold, black and white story of hard times and life challenges. Not so, here. I was swept along as if by her side as she ambled down her formidable and thorny path, making matter-of-fact choices that most of us would not be faced with. The book was a fast read, but a hard one. For me, it reinforced a long-held belief that we don’t miss what we don’t know. It also laid bare the fact that we can rise above.”

“The memoirs of Monique’s life kept me turning the pages as she shared her raw, candid and vulnerable experiences that eventually led her to discovering the gospel of Jesus Christ. The Atonement of Jesus Christ brought her a sense of peace and joy that cleansed her from the pains of a traumatic past. It’s a beautiful story of how Christ can change us if we exercise faith in Him.”

And on Amazon 4.7/5 rating:

“I truly appreciate the honesty in this book. The author’s mistakes and redemption give me hope for my own imperfections .”

“Monique tells a heartbreaking story of her life and the emptiness of trying to feel loved — and of the healing power of the Savior!”

“MORE: A MEMOIR is a no-holds-barred, true story of a young woman yearning to find happiness in life by partaking of all the “thrills” the world has to offer. Monique’s journey is raw, heart-wrenching, and poignant. Her story is one of total disclosure, told in a voice that is honest and quite compelling. Many of her experiences are eye-opening, some could be considered indecent, but all have a message of perseverance and hope. She does eventually find happiness, but freely admits that happiness doesn’t guarantee an end to life’s struggles. Warning: some graphic content.”

A big “THANK YOU” to those who purchased the book, or ebook, and especially to those who Tok the time to write reviews. We appreciate it!
