Hi there…

Yes, it has been almost a month since I last posted. That has never happened before without a planned “dark” phase. This time, it just kinda happened. There are several reasons, which, added together, kind of brought the blog to a screeching halt.

First, much of my blogging interaction is through Social Media. Sadly, I have lost much of the enjoyment of that world, as it has been more and more “Anti-Social Media,” as of late.

Next, on a happier note, we have had a couple new additions to our family – a new grandson and a new granddaughter. Joyful stuff. Traveling to see them and family has been great.

Also, the old COVID-19 has made business much more difficult. Much more effort is required to make a buck. It has demanded much more of my attention.

Finally, this last week I was pretty sick. Bad enough to get tested for the COVID. (When your wife finds you kneeling on the floor unable to breath she makes you get a test.) It was negative, but it was a rough upper-respiratory/digestive bug that laid me out. Missed five days of work for the first time in forever.

Oh, and I turned 59 last Sunday, which isn’t all that exciting.

Yet, I’m still here, fighting the good fight, and feeling a lot better.

Friday I will be teaching a class for the LDSPMA Conference. Next week I will be back with a new Sunday post. Wednesday, October 30, I proud to be a part of an Anniversary Celebration for the Family Proclamation, so watch for that. And then of course, my traditional General Conference Observations will go on as normal.

I have missed your insight, banter and friendship – I aint going anywhere.

Loves,

  1. As I look at the picture of your wonderful family, it reminds me of the verse found in 3 John 1:4 – “I have no greater joy than to hear that my children walk in truth.”
