Before we get to the BIG birthday coming up this Thursday, I would like to take a moment and remember another important birthday: Joseph Smith was born on December 23, 1805.
A few years ago I took the opportunity to share my testimony of the prophet Joseph in a blog post. At that same time, I was teaching Gospel Doctrine, and thought it might be nice to put some images to my words. This short video is the result of that lesson.
Mind you, it is rough, and very homemade-looking – hastily slapped together in the wee hours of a Sunday morning – but I hope that what it lacks in professional quality, it makes up for in sincerity. This is what I feel, and this is what I believe.

I always take a moment to remember Joseph Smith on this day as I chose to be baptized on his Birthday 22 years ago. I often think how different my life would be had I not embarked on this path. Sooo grateful. Thank you for sharing this, and Merry Christmas!

It’s exactly how I feel and I’m so grateful for the Prophet Joseph Smith, Indeed, millions shall know Brother Joseph again and I will be one of them, thanks to several missionaries, two of whom extended their missions to be at my baptism, over 20 years ago. I’ll be forever grateful for what Joseph did, what he suffered and endured and brought to pass. God be praised for His incomparable gift!
