Last Call! Share Your Conversion Story

This Sunday is MMM’s 6th Annual Hug a Convert Day. It is a day where we celebrate the special place those who converted to the gospel col din our hears and the church. It is a great thing.

I have already received some stories, but I know there are a lot of folks out there who signaled an intention to get their stories written down and submitted that haven’t quite gotten it done. Specifically, let me address two groups of people:

1: Converts. If you are a convert to the Church. (According to the Church’s definition of “convert”) and have never written your story down for your posterity, consider this an opportunity to get it done, and share it with others. These stories can be very personal, but they are also very enlightening for all of us. You know it has been nagging at you ever since you got baptized, so now is a perfect chance.

Take a few minutes, write down the story surrounding your embracing the gospel, and email it (with a picture) to mmm@middleagedmormonman.com.

2: Family & Friends to Converts. I have seen many shares and messages to your friends and loved ones. suggesting that they contribute to IHACD. My request to you is to turn up the heat. Sometimes people need a gentle nudge or reminder to do good things. Please remind your convert friends and family to get their story submitted soon.

The stories do not have to be literary masterpieces. You don’t need to submit a memoir. A simple story, from the heart, is perfect.

If you are still a little fuzzy on how to go about it, you can read stories from previous years by clicking here: CONVERSION STORIES.

There a so many good reasons to do this. I highlighted my mom’s missing story a couple of weeks ago.  To read it, click here: The Missing Story.

For more details on where the whole IHACD concept came from, read this: International Hug a Convert Day.

To those who have already contributed: Thank you! To those who are still going to do it: Thank you! Now get to it!

To everyone else, see you Sunday!
