It was brought to my attention that yesterday’s post was a wee bit critical. So, I guess I had better reassure you that I do have a gigantic, soft, charitable heart.
So today’s post will be a list of things that I love. I will include more than the number of items that I did yesterday. So I will be known as “net positive”. It does not include people’s names, because there are like 6.8 billion people, and I love everyone. (Except for my previously confessed Rachel Ray issue) You understand the conundrum.
I love:
• Date night
• Swimming in the ocean
• Cherry gelato in Florence
• Rotten Tomatoes website
• TripAdvisor travel website
• Mozart Symphonie Concertante K. 364
• Listening to my daughter play the piano
• Obama’s and Congress’ approval ratings
• That I can see really, really well in the dark
• Having had the opportunity to be a bishop
• The freedom to buy my kid a Happy Meal if I feel like it, and have a toy inside even if he wants to eat french fries
Yes, they are all rather small things, but they are the tip of a huge iceberg of wonderfulness that is my life.
The big things that I love deserve more individual attention, or no public attention at all.
I am blessed.

I like how you wrote your list out from shortest sentence to longest….kind of like the Quran is written. Hmm….what does MMM stand for again?
Or, that could be just my sleep deprived mind….mom and baby are home now. A great blessing! However, I had to appear in court early this morning (as a lawyer, not a defendant) and didn’t have time to take a shower AND get the kids off to school. Mom shouldn’t be climbing stairs quite yet, so we let them take the day off to stay home and get acquainted with their new sister.
Nice list!
Don’t worry about how people thought yesterday’s post was too negative.. they must remember that not all people like the same things, especially everything. Opposition in ALL things! Must dislike somethings to really enjoy those things that you do like.
You are blessed!
Great list! Some of mine would be:
Late nights with friends
My kids’ giggles
The fact that my family seems to all fight for my attention and affection (although it irritates me cuz I want to be alone with my Diet Coke)
Diet Coke
When I wake up late on a Saturday morning and my husband has cleaned the kitchen.
When my husband and I get to really talk.
